What brought you to Grand Rapids and why have you stayed?

I was born and raised on the northwest side of Grand Rapids. My family and friends live here, so Grand Rapids is the perfect place for me to call home. I love what downtown Grand Rapids has become over the last 10 years. There are great restaurants, attractions and fun, unique events that take place in Grand Rapids. It's such an awesome city to live in.

What do you think is Grand Rapids' most unique meeting venue?

The Bissell Tree House at John Ball Zoo. The view of the downtown Grand Rapids skyline is gorgeous. The ride up to the Bissell Tree House on the funicular is FUN!

What is your favorite annual event in Grand Rapids?

ArtPrize - It's an event like no other where people come from all over the world to view all the unique art entries. It's the world's largest art competition and public vote determines the winner each year.

What is your favorite destination you've been to and why did you go there?

Hawaii! I got married on the island of Kauai and spent my honeymoon visiting Maui and Oahu. I've since been back to visit the Big Island. All the islands are simply amazing.

What is your favorite Grand Rapids place for lunch?

San Chez - This restaurant has great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And, I love the idea of ordering several small plates of their food and sharing them with another person.
