What brought you to Grand Rapids and why have you stayed?
I came to Grand Rapids from the Chicago suburbs to attend Grand Valley State University. I fell in love with Grand Rapids and never left!
What do you think is Grand Rapids' most unique meeting venue?
Trick question - I think any venue can be turned into a meeting venue with the right ideas! One of my favorites was a lunch we hosted on the stage at the DeVos Performance Hall. I have seen great events on the rooftop tennis courts at Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and I am still dreaming of a helipad party at the JW Marriott!
What is your favorite annual event in Grand Rapids?
ArtPrize - it has its own beat and the entire city is jump-started with an even bigger boost of energy than it already has.
What is your favorite destination you've been to and why did you go there?
While I will someday go back to Santorini (Greece) because it is stunning, Istanbul is a favorite for me because it was such a different cultural experience and the history and architecture was unreal. I visited both places on a cruise through the Greek Islands.
What is your favorite Grand Rapids place for lunch?
If I can sneak away, a trip up to The Green Well is always a good day! Fabulous local ingredients and a Mac & Cheese like you wouldn't believe! Don't judge me if we stop for a cookie at Wealthy Street Bakery on the way back.
