    Cascade

    Divided into east and west sections by the scenic Thornapple River, Cascade is situated about 15 minutes southeast of downtown Grand Rapids. It’s easily accessible from two major expressways and is home to the Gerald R. Ford International Airport as well as three exceptional golf courses and an assortment of shopping, dining and lodging options.

    In addition to a wide range of national chain restaurants, Cascade is home to a diverse collection of wonderful independent eateries. The Gathering Place is a homey breakfast-and-brunch destination. Cascade Roadhouse is a rustic-chic restaurant in a renovated historic building.     Hit the links at Quail Ridge Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course known for its lush greenery, generous fairways, gentle hills – and five sets of tees on each hole.

    Play an 18-hole round of disc golf at Cascade Township Park, which also features horseshoe and tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, and a sand volleyball court.

    Fish, canoe or kayak the Thornapple River from Leslie E. Tassell Park, named for the late auto-parts maker who called West Michigan home.
