    Marketing Internship

    Experience Grand Rapids, the official Destination Marketing Organization for Kent County is seeking a Marketing & Database Intern to assist with community relationship management and the management of content in our database which powers

    Responsibilities include assisting with:

    • Database management and upkeep of community partners
    • Tracking of community businesses opening and closing in Grand Rapids area
    • Assist with Promotional efforts and measurement of community events/ promotions including:
      • Restaurant Week GR, Cocktail Week GR, Beer Month GR, Beer City Brewsader Passport, Culture Pass GR, others as they arise  
    • Update internal documents and database utilizing Microsoft Office programs
    • Edit marketing materials including Grand Rapids Visitor Guide, Dining & Shopping Guides, etc.
    • Help manage Marketing Team inventory of promotional products
    • Assist with social media management (Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter)
    • Attend Marketing/Staff team meetings and provide input
    • Provide assistance to the Director of Marketing as needed

    Skills/Experience Sought:

    • Enthusiasm about Grand Rapids as a destination

    • Above average written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-starter, ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision

    • Database management skills
    • Ability to quickly learn position-specific programs


    Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible)  
    Business, Hospitality, Communications majors preferred

    Paid downtown parking provided for duration of internship
