GRAND RAPIDS -- "La Grande Vitesse" has never seen itself from so many colorful angles at one time.

ArtPrize officially unveiled its 2010 poster Tuesday. This year's poster depicts ArtPrize's signature logo, an inverted orange "Calder" by Alexander Calder, deconstructed and layered upon itself in various inversions and colors, including green, turquoise and purple.

The poster image was designed by Mike Gorman and his team at Grand Rapids' Square One Design. Grand Rapids' Custom Printers printed the poster that will retail for $12.

Copies will start going on sale this week at LaFontsee Galleries, Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, JW Marriott, Schuler Books & Music locations (28th Street, Alpine Avenue, Fountain Street), Spirit Dreams, Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, the Grand Rapids Public Library and Frames Unlimited locations (28th Street and Plainfield Avenue).

The poster also will be for sale at all seven ArtPrize exhibition centers:

• Grand Rapids Art Museum
• Grand Rapids Public Museum
• Grand Valley State University's Pew Campus downtown
• Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids' Cathedral Square
• Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts
• Women's City Club
• Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

The art competition is Sept. 22-Oct. 10.
