Whether you stick with a tried-and-true favorite or venture beyond your usual fare, there's plenty to keep you busy in GR this week:

Monday, May 14 7:30 10:00

Grab some food and your beverage of choice, then kick back and listen to the country-blues-and-a-little-bit-of-rock tunes of Tommy Womack at the finale of One Trick Pony's Hat Trick Concert Season. The cost is a $10 donation (more if you're feeling especially moved) to the Comprehensive Therapy Center, a West-Michigan organization that uses therapy to help kids walk, talk, learn and play so they can read, write and work.

Tuesday, May 15 9:00

Like to sing? Ready for an audience? Head downtown to one of my favorite spots, Founders Brewing Co., cause its Open Mic night. While you're there, try their homemade bruschetta and wash it down with some All-Day IPA or, if they have it, their seasonal Double Trouble. Cheers, and good luck on the mic!

Wednesday, May 16 6:15 7:15

Unroll your yoga mat--or just embrace the grass stains--as you move through sun salutations and warrior poses during Grass Stain Yoga. Beginners and advanced yoga students are welcome to join Amanda Kaley near the circle of trees at Wilcox Park for an hour that will strengthen your body and calm your mind. Please be sure to bring a donation--Amanda will be working at an orphanage in Ghana, Africa this summer and is raising funds for her trip through this unique outdoor yoga class. Be sure to RSVP here; she only runs the class if she has enough takers each week.

Thursday, May 17 6:00 9:00

Support the Humane Society of West Michigan, and enter the auction to win a signed Matthew Stafford jersey, a Coach purse, or an Experience Grand Rapids package, at the K-9 Cabaret! This fun event at Centennial Country Club will feature lots of food, great items in both a silent and Chinese auction, and more as you support an organization that helps more than 11,000 animals in West Michigan every year. Tickets are available in advance here for $40 or at the door for $50.

How will you spend your week in Grand Rapids?
