- LaughFest. This ten-day festival of comedy and laughter officially kicked off yesterday, and the fun continues with a jam-packed schedule of events this weekend including improv, stand-up comedy, movies, and plenty of family-friendly offerings.
- West Michigan Women's Expo. Celebrating its 14th year, the Women's Expo at DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids has something for everyone. Get a makeover or a massage; receive a health screening; shop for apparel, accessories, and beauty products; check out the latest in home decor; learn about financial management...and so much more. Hours: Friday, March 9: 10am - 8pm - Saturday, March 10: 10am - 8pm - Sunday, March 11: 11am - 5pm. Admission at the door $8 for adults and $6 for kids 6 - 14.
- 82nd Saladin Shrine Circus: The circus comes to Grand Rapids! Come see twenty-plus acts, including elephants and tigers, tightrope walkers and acrobats, and of course, clowns. There's also a petting zoo, moon bounce and pony rides for the kids. Located at The DeltaPlex Arena and Conference Center; lots of shows to choose from: Friday March 9: 10:30 AM, 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM, Saturday March 10: 10:00 AM, 2:30 PM & 7:00 PM; Sunday March 11: 1:30 PM & 5:30 PM. Reserved tickets $11 - $16; bleacher seating for all shows, $10.
