I love food. I love cooking it. I love discovering it. And I love eating it. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that I look forward to Restaurant Week Grand Rapids every year.
I pore over the menu offerings. Develop a plan of attack. And then put on my elastic-waisted pants and hit the town.
This year Restaurant Week is August 15-25th. Over 60 restaurants are participating by making 3-course meals for you to enjoy. Most dinners are priced at $25 for 3 courses, although a few are 2 for $25 and a few are offering 5 courses.
Summer hasn’t been kind to our farmers this year. I can’t think of a better way to support them and our amazing local restaurants than by enjoying locally sourced menus with locally brewed beers and creatively made cocktails. Many of the restaurants have created their menus using ingredients from our countryside creating a true farm to fork experience.
In the coming weeks, I will be highlighting my picks in a few different categories. Best 2/$25 menu, Best Farm to Fork menus, Best places to enjoy as a family, Best restaurants you might not have tried.
In the meantime, what restaurant are you dying to check out during Restaurant Week?
