The Grand Rapids Public Museum continues its very popular Beer Explorers program this winter. The series of winter programs will be held in partnership with Founders Brewing Company of Thursday evenings.
Explore the history of beer int he world and within Grand Rapids with experts from the Museum and from Founders Brewing Company. GRPM Curator Alex Forist will highlight the history of beer, focusing on Grand Rapids and its past and present within the City. Michael Steil, from Founders' education team, will share the science of the beer making process, including what makes Founders beer unique. Historic beer artifacts from the Museum's Collections will also be on display for an up close look at history!
Admission to each class includes general admission to the Museum as well as three beer samples. A cash bar will also be available.
