Awesome Distraction has been together for almost 5 years. Originally formed in 2011 by Nick Veine (20) and Kyle Garber (19) from Manistee, they have continued to impress audiences with their harmonies and musicianship. Their manly figures and macho voices are complimented nicely by the sweet songwriting and beautifully blended voices. They truly make up an Awesome Distraction. Recently they have brought in a young powerful singer named Chloe Pepera also from Manistee. While she is only 16 years old, her voice brings people to their knees. She is truly a talent and an Awesome addition to Awesome Distraction. The versatility they add with guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, harmonica, piano, violin, drums, and percussion help to emphasize the great sound. Opening for Joel Mabus (renowned folk singer), the RFD Boys, Josh White, Jr., Ellis Paul, and Ryan Whyte Maloney (from "The Voice") have been just a few highlights in their budding career. Also joining them this year is an international musician, Rodolfo Grimaldi. Hailing from Monterrey, Mexico, he brings his sonorous baritone voice, as well as his virtuosic piano skills and dashing good looks. These four truly make up an Awesome Distraction.
