GRCC Community Science Day

Please join GRCC for a fun and exciting day of hands-on science and health-related activities. With 25 unique and interactive sessions to choose from, all age groups will enjoy this event. Activities include frog surgery, Teddy Bear X-ray Clinic (bring your own teddy bear for an X-ray!), up-close animal interactions with the John Ball Traveling Zoo and Blandford Nature Center Wildlife Presentation, recording your own earthquake with a seismometer, measuring blood pressure and listening to heart and lung sounds, Baby Got Vax, canoe building competition, make Silly Putty, extracting DNA, using cabbage to explore acids and bases, wheelchair obstacle course, building robots, getting your picture taken as a skeleton and bring home the photo… Plus, many, many more, along with giveaways, prizes, face painting and hot beverages!

Parking is available at a reduced cost in the GRCC Lyon Street Visitor Parking Ramp at the corner of Bostwick and Lyon: Enter on Bostwick Ave. The Calkins Science Center is located across the street from the ramp entrance. Be sure to ask the event greeters for a discounted parking pass.
