The West Michigan Asian American Association and The Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority’s Community Inclusion Group will bring The Nightingales, a soprano duo from the Philippines featuring Ms. Bianca Camille Lopez and Ms. Rhina Paula Cruz inside of Van Andel Arena at The Intermission Restaurant & Bar. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the concert is set to begin at 7:30 PM. The event is a benefit concert for Marginalized Asian Communities.
The Nightingales is an impressive vocal duo featuring two of the youngest yet more formidable classical singers in the Philippines today. They bring the magic of opera into the fore with a rare blend of musicality and perform a wide-range repertoire consisting of Opera arias, Broadway classics and popular standards in a unique style of singing, bel canto, or the beautiful voice.These beautiful singers were carefully honed at a very young age. As former soloists of the Philippines premier choir and internationally-acclaimed ensemble “The Philippine Madrigal Singers,” they continue to intensify their artistry as they travel extensively.
Guest artists include Ms. Nguyet-Anh Tran, Mr. Adrian Dang, Ms. Alena Marie Olsen, Mr. Marvin A. Gayatgay, Mrs. Jaqueline R. Jiminez, and Pacific Island Dancers.
