Touring Acts

The Very Best of Celtic Thunder tour comes to Forest Hills Fine Arts Center, featuring an eclectic collection of the Irish singing group's most popular songs. March 27.

Heart and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, two of rock's most ferocious female acts, come to Van Andel Arena on March 28.

The Brit Floyd Space & Time World Tour 2015 returns to Grand Rapids with the music of Pink Floyd, a spectacular new light show and an even bigger stage production. March 29.

Blues-rock sensation Joe Bonamassa, heralded as one of the world's greatest guitarists, comes to DeVos Performance Hall on April 14.

St. Cecilia Music Center presents Passionate Expressions, including works by Beethoven, Martinu, Brahms ad Schumann, featuring Musical America's 2012 Musicians of the Year, cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han. April 23.

Rhiannon Giddens, a founding member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, performs at St. Cecilia Music Center in support of her solo recording debut. April 24.

Grammy-nominated rock band NEEDTOBREATHE comes to Grand Rapids with its "Tour de Compadres." At DeVos Performance Hall May 4.

Jason Aldean and his Burn It Down Tour come to Van Andel Arena with special guests Cole Swindell, Tyler Farr and Dee Jay Silver. May 7.

Rock juggernaut Slipknot brings The Prepare for Hell Tour to Van Andel Arena wit special guest Hatebreed. May 16.

Nightlife

The Monday Night Jazz Series at Bobarino's is a monthly concert organized by the West Michigan Jazz Society. See the band The Tony Reynolds Trio on April 20.

Live Music Tuesdays at Bar Divani Restaurant presents the finest local entertainers in concert.

Founders Brewing Company hosts a diverse slate of live music acts in its taproom on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The Landing Lounge at Riverfront Hotel Grand Rapids maintains a rotating schedule of live music, karaoke and comedy performances.

Downtown's Back Forty Saloon features live and local country music bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

Billy's Lounge and Mulligan's Pub, both located in the hip Eastown district, host local and regional artists from a diverse variety of genres.

The Tip Top Deluxe Bar & Grill presents a wide variety of concerts along with excellent food and drink.

One Trick Pony, a downtown grill and taproom, hosts local and national acoustic acts on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Donna the Buffalo. GRIZ. Todd Rundgren. Just a few of dozens of hot acts playing The Intersection this spring. The venue is adding shows all the time, so check back often.

The Underground Concert Series at LaFontsee Galleries are improvised jazz concerts taking place in one of Grand Rapids' best art galleries. May 3.

The Grand Rapids Choir of Men and Boys performs Lenten Meditations at St. Andrew's Cathedral, March 27-28.

LiveArts is a collaboration of Grand Rapids Symphony, Grand Rapids Ballet, Opera Grand Rapids and Broadway Grand Rapids, featuring selections from Beethoven and Puccini to Andrew Lloyd Weber and John Williams. April 24.

Music & Theatre

The Light in the Piazza at Actors' Theatre is a musical about a wealthy Southern woman and her naïve daughter, who spend a summer together in Italy - where the daughter falls in love with an Italian man. March 26-28.

Keep the Change: The Musical Stories of Harry Chapin features local musicians and vocalists performing the songs of the beloved folk icon. April 3 at Circle Theatre.

Broadway Grand Rapids presents Dancing Pros: Live, a face-off of dance champions from around the globe, accompanied by singers from The Voice and American Idol. April 17.

Grand Rapids Ballet presents MOVEMEDIA, a contemporary dance program merging visual elements of sets, props, costumes, lighting, technology and digital media. See MOVEMEDIA Program II April 16-19.

100 Years of Broadway at Forest Hills Fine Arts Center recreates the greatest moments from the finest shows of the century - featuring the actual stars of such shows as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miz, CATS and more. April 22.

Opera Grand Rapids presents Tosca, Puccini's powerful story of the unholy bargain between passionate Floria Tosca and Scarpia, one of opera's most evil characters. May 1-2.

Circle Theatre presents Evita, the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical masterpiece about the Argentine First Lady. May 7-23.

Grand Rapids Ballet presents Beethoven, a world-premiere production portraying the composer's emotional journey through life. May 8-10 & 15-17.

Broadway Grand Rapids presents Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles, a live multimedia spectacular that takes you on a journey through the life and times of the world's most celebrated band. May 13 at DeVos Performance Hall.
