Touring Acts

Linkin Park, the multi-platinum alternative rock band, comes to Van Andel Arena with special guests Raise Against and Of Mice & Men, February 4.

Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind of Night" Tour lands in Van Andel Arena, with special guests Randy Houser and Dustin Lynch, February 10.

Christian McBride, the most honored jazz bassist of his generation, brings his Christian McBride Trio to St. Cecilia Music Center for an evening of spectacular jazz, February 19.

Nightlife

West Michigan Jazz Society presents Monday Night Jazz at Bobarino's in downtown's B.O.B. January 19 and February 16.

Tuesday Night Live Jazz at Bar Divani presents the area's finest jazz songstresses in concert.

Founders Brewing Company hosts a diverse slate of live music acts in its taproom on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The Landing Lounge at Riverfront Hotel Grand Rapids maintains a rotating schedule of live music, karaoke and comedy performances.

Downtown's Back Forty Saloon features live and local country music bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

Billy's Lounge and Mulligan's Pub, both located in the hip Eastown district, host local and regional artists from a diverse variety of genres.

The Tip Top Deluxe Bar & Grill presents a wide variety of concerts along with excellent food and drink.

One Trick Pony, a downtown grill and taproom, hosts local and national acoustic acts on Thursdays and Saturdays.

GWAR. Flosstradamus. Relient K. Big Head Todd Monsters. These are just a few of dozens of hot acts playing the The Intersection this winter. The venue is adding shows all the time, so check back often.

Orchestral Maneuvers

Folk Inspirations at St. Cecilia Music Center highlights the influence of folk music on three master composers: Brahms, Kodaly and Dvorak. Featuring an esteemed group of artists from New York's Lincoln Center. January 22.

A Night at the Oscars features music from the silver screen, performed by the Grand Rapids Symphony. January 23-25.

Grand Rapids Symphony presents rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes, featuring music from favorite video games including Portal, The Legend of Zelda, Halo and more. The orchestra will be accompanied by dramatic gameplay footage. February 7.

Grand Rapids Symphony welcomes Russian-American violinist Philippe Quint for a performance of Dvorak's New World Symphony, plus works by Bernstein and Haydn. February 20-21.

Symphony with Soul featuring Vanessa Williams is a celebration of African-American musical expression, presented by Grand Rapids Symphony. February 28.

Musical Theatre

Opera Grand Rapids presents Noah's Flood, a charming, interactive celebration of youth, community and opera. Local youth arts organizations join the Grand Rapids Symphony orchestra to support the professional soloists and vocal students from numerous area schools. February 13-14.

Broadway Grand Rapids presents Annie - "one of the best family musicals ever penned," according to the Chicago Tribune. January 13-18.

Grand Rapids Civic Theatre presents South Pacific, the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical set in World War II. February 27 - March 22.
