Wynton Marsalis: Wynton Marsalis is an internationally acclaimed musician, composer and educator. He is the world's first jazz artist to perform and compose across the full jazz spectrum. In 1983, Marsalis became the first artist ever to win Grammy Awards for both jazz and classical records and repeated the distinction again the following year. Today he is the only artist ever to win Grammy Awards over five consecutive years (1983-87); nine in total.
