The Grand Rapids Griffins hockey team skates from October through April in Van Andel Arena. The West Michigan Whitecaps play minor-league baseball in Fifth Third Ballpark April-September. Comedy Clubs

Dr. Grins Comedy Club in downtown's The B.O.B. (Big Old Building) brings in nationally renowned comedians Thursdays-Saturdays. The whole city becomes a comedy club in March for LaughFest, a 10-day, community-wide festival of laughter.
