Grand Rapids offers Spring Break activities and events for all ages!
Books in Bloom: A Spring Break Activity for Kids offers suggestions for spring-themed books to read during the week plus the opportunity to make patterns using paint bottles. Also included is Celebrate Springs with Butterflies Fantastic Flying Fun, Teen Halo Tournament, Board Game Boredom Busters and more. Free at any Grand Rapids Public Library location, April 4-12.
Spring Break Day Camps at John Ball Zoo involve games, animal encounters, interactive trips into the zoo and park, and much more. Two sessions: Zoocation April 6-7 and Wild & Wacky April 8-9. Call 616.336.4300 for details.

Real Pirates at Grand Rapids Public Museum tells the story of the first authenticated shipwreck in U.S. waters, with more than 150 authentic artifacts - treasure, weaponry, personal items and more. Enjoy special late-night hours (5-8 pm) during Spring Break (April 6-10).
Spring Break means Butterflies are Blooming at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. On exhibit through April 30, it's the nation's largest temporary tropical butterfly exhibit. Meijer Gardens also offers:

Keep the Change: The Musical Stories of Harry Chapin features local musicians and vocalists performing the songs of the beloved folk icon. $3 from each admission will be donated to Kids Food Basket in honor of Chapin's commitment to fighting hunger. April 3 at Circle Theatre.
Spring Break Drop-in Tours at Grand Rapids Art Museum let you and your family explore the galleries with a Museum docent and learn about the Edward Burtynsky: Water exhibition. April 7 & 11, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
The Art of the Lived Experiment brings together a range of artworks from more than 35 internationally renowned disability artists, in conjunction with the DisArt Festival. This exhibition will be shared across three venues: Grand Rapids Art Museum, UICA and the Fed Galleries at KCAD. Opens April 10.
Be the first to see The Art of the Lived Experiment at Grand Rapids Art Museum during the Art.Downtown.2015 "shop hop" on April 10. GRAM will be open late to accommodate all the visitors to downtown galleries, businesses and studio spaces. Art.Downtown starts at 6:00 pm, GRAM opens from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

Spring Break for Kids: "Carnival of the Animals" is a 30-minute ballet performance perfect for the whole family, complete with a costume dress-up, temporary tattoos, a free ballet class and a special performance. Presented by Grand Rapids Ballet, April 7-9.
