Grand Rapids' ideal location in Michigan's West Coast provides visitors with all four seasons. The changes are dynamic and fun to experience!  From hot summer days to brisk winter evenings, here are some tips to fill your suitcase with the right gear.

Grand Rapids Weather - FallFall (September through mid-November):

One of the most beautiful times in Grand Rapids, the air begins to get crisp. Enjoy fall colors and outdoor activities by packing a windbreaker, fleece or sweatshirt and hat.

 

Grand Rapids Weather - WinterWinter (Mid-November through March):

Bring a warm coat, gloves, hat, scarf and boots. Enjoy many outdoor activities like iceskating, hiking and walking.

 

Grand Rapids Weather - SpringSpring (March through May):

Spring shows promise of summer coming. Pack with layers in mind. You'll be prepared for the daily temperature changes. Daily high's average in the 50's with cool nights.

 


Grand Rapids Weather - SummerSummer (June through August):

Summers are warm so be prepared with short sleeves and shorts. Evenings can be cooler so bring a light jacket or sweatshirt. With beaches in Michigan's West Coast, plan for swimming and sunbathing, so don't forget the swimsuit, beach towel or your shades.
