80’s Show to Benefit Local Metro Health - University of Michigan Health Foundation
Van Andel Arena hosts donation drive in support of Metro Health Foundation at Retro Futura

Grand Rapids – Upcoming 80’s show, Retro Futura: HOT 80’s Rewind, will benefit local non-profit Metro Health – University of Michigan Health Foundation. Local SMG-managed venue Van Andel Arena is set to host new wave stars Howard Jones, English Beat, Men Without Hats, Modern English, Paul Young and Katrina (ex-Katrina and the Waves) on Tuesday, August 1st. Grab your dark sunglasses, tease your hair, put on your spandex and headbands and join the wave headed back to the 80’s.

Metro Health Foundation will be conducting a donation drive at Van Andel Arena collecting new boys and girls toys for their Child Life Program AND/OR non-perishable food items to support their Community Clinic during Retro Futura on Tuesday, August 1st starting at 5:30PM. Anyone who makes a donation will be placed into a drawing to win two upgraded tickets to Retro Futura and two tickets to the Metro Health Foundation Gala. Give back to your community and enjoy the summer’s biggest star-studded bill with the Retro Futura Tour 2017.

The Metro Health Hospital Foundation helps Metro Health meet the health care needs of more than 250,000 people annually. This includes providing assistance for people with limited or no health insurance, programs to detect cardiovascular disease in teens, summer camp for cancer patients and their families, Child Life Services for children experiencing hospitalization and funding to promote innovative treatment and compassionate care. 

105.3 HotFM presents Retro Futura: HOT 80’s Rewind. Headlined by synth pioneer Howard Jones, the jam-packed show will also feature sets from the English Beat, Men Without Hats, Modern English, Paul Young and Katrina (ex-Katrina and The Waves) in support of Metro Health – University of Michigan Health Foundation. The arena will host a pre-party prior to the show complete with a local 80’s band, 80’s costume contest, 80’s karaoke contest, games, prizes, food & drink specials and more! The show starts at 7PM, doors open at 6PM and the preshow activities will begin at 5:30PM. Metro Health – University of Michigan Health Foundation drive will be held at the Van Andel Arena.
