Free live music from national and local acts announced
HOLLAND, Mich., — Beginning in June, New Holland Brewing Company (NHB) will celebrate 20 years of brewing craft beer. To celebrate this milestone anniversary with the City of Holland and the beer that started it all, Mad Hatter IPA, NHB will host an expanded Hatter Days celebration street party on June 10 in downtown Holland.
“Hatter Days is our favorite time of year and this year we’re going above and beyond in all aspects,” says New Holland Vice President of retail operations and co-owner, Dave White. “Like the Mad Hatter himself, we love a good party and there’s nothing better than hitting the streets to kick-off summer and celebrate our history in beer, our company and this awesome community who has been with us since the beginning, way back in 1997.”
The street party will expand its footprint by taking place in both the parking lot behind New Holland’s Pub on 8th and on College Street between 8th and 9th streets on June 10 (4 p.m.–11 p.m.) and continues on at the afterparty inside (11 p.m.–1 a.m.).
The free, family-friendly event includes live music from local and national acts:
• 4:00 p.m. – The Ragbirds
• 5:30 p.m. – Mucca Pazza
• 7:30 p.m. – Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers
• 9:15 p.m. – The Dirty Dozen Brass Band
• 11:00 p.m. – Street Party ends and afterparty begins at the Pub with music from Rusty's Big Ass Band & Silent Disco
• DJ Dr. Joel between sets
Guests will also enjoy all-day acts from Daredevil Circus, an outdoor tiki bar and BBQ to eat. The event will also include a Stop & Taste area featuring lounge chairs and lawn games.
New this year, New Holland is releasing six throwback beers on draft and in limited release six packs to go. The throwback beers will be an assortment of fan and brewer favorites from the past 20 years. Stay tuned for the full lineup of throwback beers, and how they can be purchased during Hatter Days, announced mid-May.
“This is a really special time for us,” says New Holland President Brett VanderKamp. “It’s a time for us to reflect on the time, energy and passion that has gone into our beer, spirits and business over the past two decades. It’s also an amazing event for all ages that introduces people from all over the Midwest to our community of Holland and the downtown businesses who are doing great things here.”
New Holland Brewing is proud to partner with Kids’ Food Basket. Guests who bring items from the Kids’ Food Basket Wish List will be entered to win one of many raffle prizes, including a private beer and spirits paired dinner for 10.
