Grand Rapids African American Museum and Archives (GRAAMA)
Local artists provide handmade clothing, jewelry, and dolls along with their own collection of GRAAMA logo mugs, tee shirts, backpacks, and bags. Customer favorites are Martin Luther King Christmas ornaments, Black history calendars, kente' scarves, and reflective backpacks.
During the holidays the GRAAMA store stocks Afrocentric holiday cards, calendars, Kwanzaa items, toys, games, and art to get you in the spirit. With prices ranging from a few dollars to limited art worth $500, there is something for everyone. And many purchases count as tax-deductible donations to GRAAMA.

If you're looking for a gift that's educational and fun, you'll likely find it at the Curiosity Shop. It is also a great place to find surprising Grand Rapids-themed gifts and souvenirs.
Members of GRPM, receive a 10% discount on your purchases. The store recently launched its online shop and will either have your purchases ready for you to pick up at the shop or will ship them to your chosen recipient.

The Gift Shop at John Ball Zoo (Open Seasonally)
John Ball Zoo is also home to a well-stocked gift shop, The Gift Shop at John Ball Zoo. The shop is filled with a variety of locally and internationally-made items for kids and adults.
Plenty of the products offered in The Gift Shop at John Ball Zoo pay homage to different cultures and animals. T-shirts, souvenir cups, key chains, hand-crafted items made by Kenyan tribesmen, handmade purses from India, and beautifully carved marble animal figurines are just some of the items you'll find in The Gift Shop at John Ball Zoo.
As an added bonus, John Ball Zoo members receive a 10-percent discount on all items in The Gift Shop at John Ball Zoo. The gift shop is open during the zoo's open season, which generally runs March-November.
Museum Gift Shops for Future Shopping
The following gift shops are temporarily closed, so be sure to check with each location before visiting.
The Shop at Urban Institute for Contemporary Art (UICA)
UICA is moving to its new location on Pearl Street, so it's giftshop is currently closed. Once it reopens, it's likely the majority of the items in The Shop will have a direct connection to Grand Rapids and the surrounding by carrying items made by local artists, students, and vendors, just as The Shop on Fulton Street did.
The Museum Store at the Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM)
GRAM's gift shop is currently closed, but has been known to carry art-inspired gifts for all ages, including to 20th-century design classic furniture.
Grand Rapids Children’s Museum
Once it reopens, visitors can expect to find specially-selected items by owners Nick and Trisha Stratton. The gift shop at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum has been known to ensure no one leaves empty-handed.
Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum
From pencils to copies of Gerald R. Ford’s autobiography signed by Ford himself, the gift shop at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum will have your gift giving covered, especially for history buffs.
