When you’re ready to take the mic or just cheer on your favorite singer, here are a few suggestions from locals you might want to try.
Sing the night away at Fulton Street Pub, a short distance from the downtown GVSU campus.

Fulton Street Pub & Grill
Thursday – Saturday, 9 PM
Fulton Street Pub & Grill is a fun bar downtown near the Grand Valley State University (GVSU) Pew campus that is popular with students, as well as karaoke aficionados of all ages. It also has gaming machines and pool tables. You can also catch sporting events on its large TVs.
Kale’s Korner
Wednesday & Saturday, 9:30 PM
A classic dive bar, Kale’s Korner has pool tables and darts, although you can’t play darts on karaoke nights. It’s also known for its JELL-O shots and is cash only. If you forget to bring cash, there is an ATM available.
The Last Chance Tavern & Grill
Saturday, 9 PM or after an MSU or U of M football game
Established in 1934, The Last Chance got its name from being a traveler’s last chance to grab a beer on their way south. Last Chance has a full menu and bar with a wide selection of craft beer. In addition to karaoke, it also hosts a team trivia night and a beer and hymns night once a month.
Doing business since 1938, Log Cabin offers karaoke, live music, and other fun events.

Log Cabin Cocktail Lounge
Monday & Wednesday, 8 PM
Another oldie-but-goodie, the Log Cabin has been around since 1938. It has a full bar, TVs, and a full menu. In addition to karaoke, on other nights it offers (beer) pong tournaments, DJs, and live bands.
Play Station Pub
Wednesday – Sunday, 9:30 PM
Play Station Pub is a West Side bar with a fun, friendly atmosphere, eight big TVs, gaming machines, and team trivia nights in addition to karaoke.
Z's Bar is located right downtown, walking distance to many hotels, museums, and other attractions.

Z’s Bar & Restaurant
Tuesday – Thursday, 10 PM
Performers love Z’s karaoke stage, located in front of its large, circular bar. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, there’s patio seating in the warmer months, and it’s within walking distance to many downtown hotels and museums.

Also, keep your eye out for the grand opening of K-Rok, a new Korean BBQ restaurant scheduled to open downtown by the end of 2020. It has the same owners as the Emonae Korean BBQ on 28th Street and is planning to feature karaoke.
