If you weren't among the 56,000 people who attended one of the 323 humorous events at Laughfest this year, plan to laugh, chuckle and double over as you support Gilda's Club Grand Rapids at next year's event. When you need a smile or two in the meantime, you can still get your laugh on at one of these 3 Grand Rapids venues:
- River City Improv. Enjoy an evening of clean laughs with this comedic improv team featuring Calvin College alumni who like to have fun. The team performs at two locations, the Ladies Literary Club downtown and Gezon Auditorium at Calvin College. You can catch their next show at the downtown location on Saturday, April 28th. Tickets are $10 at the door and are available in advance here.
- Dr. Grins. If its national comedians you're after, Dr. Grins at the B.O.B. is your Grand Rapids destination. Past shows include SNL funny man Kevin Nealon and 90s MTV VJ Pauly Shore. Upcoming laughs courtesy of David Crowe (April 19-21) and Steve Rannazzisi (April 26-28). Tickets from $5-$20 available here.
- Comedy Mondays at Dog Story Theatre. For a relaxed evening where you can first be entertained (8PM - 10PM) and then be the entertainment (open mic begins at 10PM) check out the Monday night scene at Dog Story Theatre. Buy tickets for $5 and find more information here.
