Leyen & Son Meats:

Address: 844 West Leonard, Grand Rapids MI 49504
Hours: Monday to Friday: 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday: 9 AM to 2 PM, Sunday: Closed

Established in 1939, owner Mark Leyen recently took over his family’s butcher shop, Leyen & Son Meats. What used to primarily be a deer processing business, the location has grown into a full-service butcher shop, just as it was when it originally opened over 75 years ago.

Along with renovating the menu, the shop itself has a fresh new look and feel to complement its quality products. From homemade brats, fresh ground beef, and whole cattle and hogs, no job is too big or too small for Leyen & Son Meats.

Utilizing the experience of three generations of butchers, Leyen carefully selects the store’s meat. In order to provide the highest quality and most tender meat, all products age for up to 14 days.

Note: Leyen & Son Meats does not offer dine-in options. Click here to view a list of the butcher’s take-home meat selections.
