Monday Friday, Now - May 18 Student Exhibit at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center

Be amazed! Stop by to see the variety of mediums and level of talent in this art exhibit by K-12 students in the Forest Hills Public Schools.

9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Free.

If you're in the mood for more art, head downtown for the Mary Free Bed Fine Arts Exhibit, which showcases artwork by physically-challenged artists. The show runs now September 4th, 10:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Free.

Tuesday Sunday, Now June 12: Thank God for Michigan! Stories from the Civil War at the Grand Rapids Public Museum

This exhibit of Civil War history and artifacts includes letters, weapons, and photographs of Michiganders who served in the war.

$8 adult, $7 senior, $3 kids 3-17; closed Mondays; see website for hours.

Tuesday, May 1: Swing Dancing at Rosa Parks Circle (every Tuesday through October 9, weather permitting)

Get your dancing shoes on and get ready to swing to the music of the live band, Hark Up Horns. All levels welcome at this fun Grand Rapids tradition.

Thursday, May 3: Live Jazz at Gilly's at the B.O.B.

Begin your weekend a little early with live jazz downtown and $2 B.O.B microbrews and oysters.

If you're looking for a fun family outing, try this week's Thrifty Thursday at the Whitecaps or go see the butterflies--Monday, April 30 is the last day they're Blooming at Meijer Gardens.
