How long have you worked in the Tourism Industry?

    23 years

How did you become a part of the Tourism Industry?

My first job was cleaning hotel rooms at Point West, a resort in Holland, MI. My first job after college was marketing travel destinations for Carlson Wagonlit Travel (travel agency). I've spent that last 15 years with Experience Grand Rapids - marketing our great destination!

    Favorite Vacation Spot?

    Disneyland with my family.

One piece of advice or tip you would give to a first time visitor to Grand Rapids?

Oh, just one?  If you're traveling with kids, make sure you visit the John Ball Zoo - it's a great urban zoo that the kids will love (and not get too tired exploring)! Also, make time for the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park - their Lena Meijer Children's Garden is perfect for kids - and don't forget to bring a change of clothes (the Great Lakes Garden is fun to splash in)!
