    How did you become a part of the Tourism Industry?

    Began my career working at my Dad's popcorn stand at a resort near Jackson, MI.  Moved my way up to short order cook and waiter at the resort.  Interesting fact - I was let go from my first hotel job because I had a beard!

    One piece of advice or tip you would give to a first time visitor to Grand Rapids?

    Explore the history!  There is an amazing amount - from the Native American culturel to accomplishments of President Gerald R. Ford;  from being "Furniture City" to "Beer City USA."
