    Doug Small

    President and CEO of Experience Grand Rapids, Doug Small

    Doug Small is the President and CEO of Experience Grand Rapids. Before his move to Grand Rapids in 2008, he has worked in Destination Marketing Executive positions in Denver, Syracuse, Palm Springs and Dayton. Doug also currently serves on the board of directors of four organizations including the Michigan Lodging and Tourism Association, Grand Rapids Downtown Market, West Michigan Sports Commission and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc.  He is knowledgeable in topics such as the economic impact of tourism, destination marketing and branding, as well as vast experience in the convention sales and service sector. 

    Janet Korn

    Senior Vice President of Experience Grand Rapids, Janet Korn

    Janet Korn is the Senior Vice President of Experience Grand Rapids. She has over 20 years of experience working with EXGR and currently leads the efforts of the marketing team. Prior to this Janet worked as an adjunct instructor in Hospitality Education at Grand Rapids Community College and as a restaurant manager. Janet is a Michigan State University graduate with a BA in Hospitality Business. She is also currently a member of Destination Marketing Association International. She is knowledgeable in areas such as beer tourism, destination marketing, and the economic impact of tourism.

    Angela Nelson

    Angela Nelson

    Angela Nelson is the Vice President of Multicultural Business Development of Experience Grand Rapids. Before joining EXGR in March 2017, Angela worked at Amway Corporation for 10 years in various roles ranging from grantmaking, community relations, and brand marketing. Angela is a Grand Valley State graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a minor in Computer Information Systems.  Angela also received a Master of Business Administration in Integrative Management from Michigan State University. She is knowledgeable in community engagement and serves on various committees and boards including the Community Inclusion Group, the Tall Turf Ministries Board of Directors, and serves as the president of the Grand Rapids Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
