Karen manages our Experience Grand Rapids airport team, which staffs the Visitor Information Desk at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport and roams the airport to provide on-the-spot assistance to travelers. She joined the team in 2014 and continues to lead by example in helping passengers navigate the airport and the region.
Karen studied small business accounting at Grand Rapids Community College and hospitality and tourism at Regent’s College London. She worked as a customer service agent for various airlines at the Ford airport as well as London’s Heathrow and Stansted airports, where she completed advanced courses with British Airways. She also taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults and children in Taiwan. (Imagine the frequent flyer miles she racked up!)
