Lions and Rabbits is leading a citywide arts initiative, After Dark, to create equitable placemaking and leadership opportunities for artists in five different districts of Grand Rapids beginning August 20th. This is a four-month-long interactive digital game funding over 35 new murals that will be installed by zip-code-specific artists through the end of September.
The digital “Life After Dark” game will be launching on September 12th along with a limited-edition, physical board game featuring illustrations of influential Grand Rapidian leaders and historical landmarks.
The community can participate in both “Life After Dark” games to win free raffle prizes while supporting over 50 local participating businesses. Experience immersive fun created by local artists- for you.
There will be 50 interactive sites created at local businesses and landmarks – open to the community – through a digital version of the “GR Life” board game. Due to COVID-19 pandemic precautions, instead of having six one-day parties, the partners created a multi-month-long art walk and interactive board game that the community can easily and safely participate in–filled with free raffle prizes and ways to connect with and support the city.
