Once you register for Bark in the Dark you will be prompted to create an online fundraising page to collect donations from friends and family online. We encourage you to customize it with a picture of you and your furry friend, and let people know why you are fundraising to support HSWM animals! You can then share your fundraising page with friends & family on social media and through email. The dollars that you raise make a huge impact on our animals here in West Michigan! Fundraisers who reach one of the following levels will receive special HSWM apparel as a thank you! Fundraisers can claim their prizes at the check in table on the day of the event.
$50 - HSWM Bumper Sticker
$150 - Long Sleeve Shirt
$250 - Sweatshirt
$500 - Duffle bag filled with goodies, plus your choice of a long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt
Due to the increased number of confirmed cases of Canine Influenza, we encourage pet owners to talk to their vet about the available vaccine. As with all vaccines, it is important to protect your dog from infection and to prevent them from spreading any diseases to other dogs they may come into contact with. For more information on Canine Influenza please visit: https://www.avma.org/ KB/Resources/FAQs/Pages/ Control-of-Canine-Influenza- in-Dogs.aspx and contact your veterinarian with any questions.
Out of respect to the health and well-being of all dogs attending this year’s Bark in the Dark event, if you think your dog has had or may have been exposed to the Canine Influenza virus, we ask that you consider leaving him/her at home this year. Thank you in advance for your commitment to the health of our furry friends.
