BrainSTEM

Created from 2016's STEMosphere, BrainSTEM is a hands-on, brains-on expo that highlights the best of today's innovation and creativity in science, technology, engineering, and math. It is a FREE event open to learners of all ages, from preschoolers to seniors.

Exhibitors will include GE Aviation, John Ball Zoo, Tetra Discovery Partners, Michigan State University Extension/4H, Breakout EDU, Blandford Nature Center, Van Andel Education Institute, and GVSU Regional Math and Science Center.

BrainSTEM will also offer four sessions of Get With The Program for K-8 students. These are age-appropriate workshops geared towards introducing students to computer science and computer programming. Sessions are run by GVSU College of Engineering and sponsored by Atomic Object and Software GR. Registration for Get With The Program will open soon!

Be sure to arrive to the museum by 9:00 AM to hear from Dreams Soar founder Shaesta Waiz in the Meijer Auditorium. She is the first female civilian pilot from Afghanistan, and is currently flying around the world to inspire children and women to reach for the stars. BrainSTEM is lucky to have her stop in Grand Rapids!

This is a can't miss event for families, educators and community members that want to explore, invent, and experiment!
