BEETHOVEN Symphony No. 1 in C Major

Marcelo Lehninger Conductor | Suzanna Dennis Bratton Clarinet

Mozart was the first great composer to truly understand and appreciate the beauty and flexibility of the clarinet, and his Clarinet Concerto has remained of the greatest works of all time for the solo instrument and orchestra. Beethoven’s First Symphony, his Symphony in C Major, served not only to introduce the young composer to Vienna, it also revealed flashes of his genius yet to come.
