View Map

Korean Connection, a West Michigan based nonprofit, is hosting Chuseok: A Korean Thanksgiving at the Goei Center in Grand Rapids on Thursday, September 12 from 6-8:30 pm. The event will feature both Korean food catered by Emonae Korean BBQ and entertainment provided by Calvin University students and is $50 per person with part of the proceeds going to an orphanage support group in Korea.

Chuseok is a major harvest festival in Korea that is often considered Korean Thanksgiving Day.

In addition to Korean entertainment and food, the September 12 event in Grand Rapids will provide opportunities for cultural understanding and education as well as welcoming remarks by Honorary Consul Mr. David M. Roden from the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Detroit.
