Grandma and Me: Fiber Art-10 am

View Map

Work with fabric, colorful yarn and wire to create an abstract, 3-dimensional work of art based on the works of Judith Scott. As a class, take a walk through the galleries to find inspiration in the exhibition Process and Presence: Contemporary Disability Sculpture, then learn to create an armature from rigid objects bound together. Use multiple layers of yarn and fabric wound around your armature to complete your sculpture. This is an inclusive class for individuals with or without disabilities, along with an adult, and is a collaborative effort with Artists Creating Together.
