Since the development of the Italian film industry in the early 1900s, Italian filmmakers and performers have influenced cinema globally. In partnership with Grand Rapids Sister Cities International (GRSCI), UICA presents the Italian Film Series, a recurring event featuring iconic films directed by Italian filmmakers.
Marcello Mastroianni wishes to end his marriage to his shrewish wife. While Italian Catholic law prohibits divorce, murder is only punishable by a short jail sentence if it was done to restore family honor. He plans to find his wife a lover and shoot them both in a jealous rage.
