Jewish Theatre Grand Rapids Presents "Torch Song Trilogy - Act III"

The second production of the Jewish Theatre Grand Rapids 2017-18 season, "Torch Song Trilogy – Act III: Widows and Children First" by Harvey Fierstein, opens Thursday March 1st and runs March 1 - 11, 2018. Performances will be on Thursday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased either by calling the Box Office at 616-234-3946 or by going online to http://jtgr.org/tickets.htm.
Directed by Michelle Urbane " Torch Song Trilogy – Act III: Widows and Children First " will be performed on the main-stage at Spectrum Theater, 160 Fountain St. NE, on the GRCC campus in downtown Grand Rapids.
“Torch Song Trilogy – Act III: Widows and Children First " is a Tony Award winning collection of three plays rendered in three acts. JTGR will present the last act: "Widows and Children First!" The story centers on Arnold Beckoff, a New York, Jewish, homosexual, drag queen. In this act, he struggles to cope with the tragic loss of his life partner, learns to be an effective parent to his adopted teenage son and is forced to deal with his own mother’s intolerance and disrespect.
