Join GRAM for a lecture from one of the minds behind GRAM's latest: The Art of Rube Goldberg. Coming of age in the 60’s the name Rube Goldberg was synonymous with cause and effect contraptions or the most circuitous way to solve a problem. In either case the situation was always a humorous one. As a young artist, I was so intrigued with his concepts that I developed a few Rube Goldberg inspired ink drawings such as The Street Cleaner in the early 70’s. Surprisingly, a little over four decades later I would meet and work with his granddaughter on an exhibition celebrating not just the mind but more specifically the hand of Rube Goldberg.
