The Wyoming Theater Company is proud to present our fall play, Freak the Mighty. This play is a humorous and emotional drama based on Rodman Philbrick's best-selling, young adult novel by the same name. The story revolves around the new friendship of two boys, Maxwell Kane and Kevin Avery. Max Kane is a kind-hearted boy, large for his age, who struggles with a learning disability. Kevin is an extremely intelligent boy, but quite small for his age due a physical handicap. Together, the two become best friends and a powerful force as they go on a series of adolescent adventures, battling bullies, facing family challenges, and learning to overcome personal tragedies. Freak the Mighty will leave everyone pondering the enduring power of the human spirit. Show dates are November 9, 10, and 11 at 7p.m.
