Nature Studies: Bird Watching & Painting

View Map

Enjoy the serenity of nature on this day-long excursion to Pierce Cedar Creek Institute, a 742-acre nature preserve with 9 miles of hiking trails. You will observe many species of birds in their natural habitats and have the opportunity to photograph and sketch them on site. You will develop your compositions with thumbnail sketches and complete several small paintings. Color, composition, and perspective will all be discussed. Stop at the Visitor Center and then a local restaurant for dinner (not included).
