What/Who This Event Supports:
DRCWM is part of a network of independent Michigan Community Dispute Resolution Centers. Our mission is to bring a peaceful resolution to conflict by providing expert and affordable mediation and training services. We want people and organizations to know we’re here to help them resolve differences and restore relationships. We serve seven counties: Kent, Ionia, Lake, Montcalm, Mecosta, Newaygo and Osceola. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. You can find a great explanation of the mediation process and information about the types of mediation we do on our website at www.drcwm.org.

Target Audience:
Conflict resolution is helpful in all organizations and at every socioeconomic level. For this reason, our audience is diverse. We work with individuals, families, attorneys, courts, schools, neighborhood associations, nonprofit organizations, businesses, corporations and community leaders in West Michigan.

How The Dollars Are Used/Long-Range Impact:
DRCWM provides low- and no-cost mediation services to help resolve disputes outside and within the court system. We also provide restorative practices training and on-site facilitation at local schools to help students and schools build relationships repair those relationships to avoid unnecessary suspension days. Our services bring groups and individuals together to create their own solutions for win-win agreements in the workplace, schools, communities and at home. We rely on grants and donations to continue our mission of providing affordable mediation and training services.
