Preparatory Mural Design (Spring Break ages 13-18)

View Map

Murals, typically found on walls and ceilings, date back to the Upper Paleolithic era with cave paintings and can be found through out all other eras of human history. These murals were used to tell stories or display political, social, and religious values. No matter their intent, murals impact their surrounding community. In this class you will have the opportunity to design a "mural" on large paper and be taught all the techniques from transferring the imagery you design later to a wall or permanent surface. Best practices for obtaining a mural site will also be discussed.
