World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated every year on March 21st (3/21) in honor of people with Down syndrome having 3 copies of the 21st chromosome. In a normal year, the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan (DSAWM) would celebrate the day by hosting our Rock Your Socks Dance for our members and community. While we have made the tough decision to not host the in-person event this year, we will instead be hosting a fun, activity-packed virtual celebration open to all! The event will take place on Zoom on Sunday, March 21st from 2-3pm and feature live performances, music and dancing, sing-alongs, bingo, prizes, and more! All ages and abilities are welcome! If you would like to attend, please RSVP at the link below. A Zoom link will then be emailed to all RSVP’s the morning of the event. We can’t wait to see you all as we come together to celebrate our rockin’ community! Visit dsawm.org/wdsd21 for more details.
