Scoutreach Golf Outing for Scouting

This outing will raise funding and greater awareness for the Boy Scouts of America's Scoutreach program in the greater Grand Rapids area. Scoutreach is delivered through partnerships with area schools and churches. It brings Scouting directly to 1st-5th grade students through trained part-time staff during lunch or after school with no cost to the students. The program focuses educational efforts on science, technology, engineering and math while teaching character development, citizenship, personal fitness, outdoor skills and awareness and leadership.

Registration begins at 11:30am with a Shotgun start at 1pm. A boxed lunch and plated dinner will be provided. Games and prizes available! Contact Paige Caligiuri for additional sponsorship opportunities.

Scoutreach program materials are designed to encompass a boy’s developmental stages, including: physical development, mental development, relationship building strategies, and learning values. The curriculum includes a variety of hands-on learning activities designed to instill one or more of the following 5 core Scouting principles: Character Development, Participatory Citizenship, Personal Fitness, Outdoor Skills and Awareness, and Leadership. In addition to traditional Cub Scout activities, we plan to incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities to support the boys’ academic needs and interests
