What You Will Learn
In this fun, five-day camp, young chefs will explore the world of baking and create a delicious array of sweet treats. Our instructor will introduce teens to the fundamentals of baking—from reading and following recipes to the importance of kitchen safety. Your teen will enjoy working alongside classmates as we practice making from-scratch versions of favorites such as summer fruit tarts and fabulous French macarons. We’ll build on skills throughout the week and finish with a two-day celebration featuring show-stopping cakes and homemade ice cream.
Teens ages 13-17 are welcome to join this popular baking camp. Classes run about two hours each and last for five consecutive days. Young chefs will enjoy generous samples of each tasty treat and take home a packet of recipes. Share your love of baking and boost your teen’s confidence in the kitchen with a culinary experience they’ll never forget.

Day 1: Pies & Tarts
We’ll kick off the week with everybody’s favorite anytime treats—pies! Our instructor will walk teens through the steps for mixing, rolling, shaping and baking tender, flaky pie and tart crusts. Plus, teens will get hands-on practice making savory hand pies and individual-size tarts featuring fresh summer berries.
Day 2: Bakeshop!
From English muffins to Ham and Cheese Scones, today’s class focuses on delectable bakery treats. Teens will enjoy working alongside classmates as we practice proper measuring and mixing techniques. Our instructor will share tips for making yeasted doughs and tricks for achieving tender scones every time. Then we’ll practice shaping doughs and baking them to perfection.
Day 3: French Pâtisserie
Today, we’ll move on to advanced skills, walking young bakers through the steps for creating delicate, delectable macarons—from preparing French meringue to the proper macaronage technique.
Day 4 & 5: Two-Day Celebration Cakes & Ice Cream
We’ll spend the last two days preparing for a yummy celebration featuring two amazing cakes and a fruity homemade ice cream. On day four, teens will mix batter, bake cakes, prepare fillings and create an ice cream base. Then on the final day, our instructor will cover techniques for churning ice cream to creamy perfection. Teens will love making from-scratch frostings, assembling cakes, and practicing decorating and piping techniques. Best of all, we’ll celebrate the week of baking success with a well-earned cake and ice cream party.
