Built along the Grand River in 1974 by artist Joseph Kinnebrew, the Fish Ladder was created to aid spawning fish in their struggle to swim upstream.

  • Family

Kids love to watch migrating salmon, trout and steelhead “climb” the concrete stair-step pools at this free public-art installation.

  • Art & Culture

Walkways afford excellent views of this functional artwork, designed by the sculptor to envelop viewers in “the white sound of the river and the world of the fish.”
