Grand Rapids, Mich. – After 20 years of devoted employment as the National Sales Director for Experience Grand Rapids, Robert Snyders will be retiring on March 31st.

Snyders joined Experience Grand Rapids after 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. During his time at EXGR, Snyders was responsible for booking agricultural, fraternal, government, military and religious focused conferences and meetings to the Grand Rapids area. Before entering the hospitality industry, Snyders earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business at Cleary University.

“Bob has been an integral part of the sales team at Experience Grand Rapids,” said Tom Bennett, Vice President of Sales & Services of Experience Grand Rapids. “Throughout his career, Bob has been a dedicated team member and helped bring more than 500 meetings to the city of Grand Rapids, generating more than 350,000 attendees and $245 million in economic impact. A few noteworthy groups include the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum, Religious Conference Management Association (RCMA), and Grand Convention for the Grand Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. His knowledge and enthusiasm will be missed.”

During his retirement, Snyders plans to spend his time with his grandchildren, travelling, and volunteering in the community.

“I’m excited to start this next chapter in my life,” said Snyders. “I’ve truly enjoyed working at Experience Grand Rapids and I look forward to seeing how the organization and city grow in the years to come.”
