EXPERIENCE GRAND RAPIDS RELEASES WHIMSICAL COMMERCIAL TO ATTRACT VISITORS
Videos support Dream Grand and Go destination marketing campaign
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., March 7, 2022 — EXGR, the official destination marketing organization for Kent County, has released the first videos supporting its Dream Grand and Go campaign. The 30- and 60-second videos – designed to entice travelers to plan a trip to Grand Rapids – combine whimsical animation with live action scenes set in urban, outdoor, arts and entertainment venues throughout the Grand Rapids/Kent County area.
The videos were posted today at ExperienceGR.com and on the EXGR YouTube channel (:30 and :60). EXGR will boost distribution with digital ads, CTV advertising, and through its social media channels, which will drive visitors back to a custom webpage where they can learn more about the destination.
“The videos invite the viewer to open their mind and see a city filled with wonder and delight,” said Kate Lieto, EXGR director of marketing. “There is something magical about this place – something that comes alive the closer you look – that’s what we aimed to capture.”
The new videos creatively depict the destination described in the new vision statement approved by the EXGR Board of Directors in the fall of 2021: To be the must-experience destination in the Midwest.
The Dream Grand and Go theme is featured on the EXGR website. Other campaign elements include highway billboards throughout lower Michigan, print ads in travel and lifestyle magazines, postcards and a presence on the Michigan.org travel planning website.
The videos were created in partnership between EXGR and the Grand Rapids-based Ideology Productions team.
