Symphony and Cirque combine for exhilarating Holiday show in Cirque de Noël

Grand Rapids Pops welcome Cirque de la Symphonie back to DeVos Hall for Christmas magic

Media are invited to attend the Grand Rapids Pops’ Cirque de Noël featuring the thrilling talents of Cirque de la Symphonie, back by popular demand, for the seventh annual holiday performance.

The only cirque company in the world that performs exclusively with symphony orchestras, Cirque de la Symphonie’s Cirque de Noël show is specially choreographed to classic and modern holiday music, played live by the Grand Rapids Symphony  led by Associate Conductor John Varineau. Special music guest is the David Arkenstone Group.

Audiences have been dazzled by awe-inspiring feats performed by aerialists, jugglers, contortionists and acrobats as they entertain to live music.

This year’s show features music from Duke Ellington’s snazzy, jazzy version of The Nutcracker and the wildly popular movie Frozen along with familiar holiday melodies. Cirque de Noël is the perfect way to spice up the season and add new, breathtaking tradition to your holiday celebration.
