Salvation Army Kroc Center Offers Extended Open Swim, Recreation Hours, Special Guests, and More
GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. – Family fitness classes, art, bounce houses, swimming, and day camps are just a few of the family– friendly activity options available at The Salvation Army Kroc Center during Spring Break 2017.
Open swim, climbing wall, and game room hours are extended to help parents make sure they never hear, “I’m bored!” Special guest presentations at 11am each morning include the Story Spinners, Blandford Nature Center, Binder Park Zoo, a magic show by P.J. Weber, and interactive drumming with WaZoBia.
Day passes are only $7.50 for all ages, and as always, Kroc Center members get unlimited free access to all activities. All children age 11 and under must be supervised by an adult while visiting the Kroc Center. New this year, the Kroc has added a “teen room” with activities geared toward kids age 12 to 15, who are able to use the facility without a parent.
Those who may be looking for a place to celebrate Easter can also visit Church at the Kroc for special events on Easter Sunday, April 16. The church will hold a “SONrise” bilingual worship service at 8am, and another at 10am.
“Spring is a great time of year at the Kroc,” said Lieutenant Bill Brutto, Senior Kroc Officer. “It reminds us of the chance to celebrate transformation, especially the transformation given to us through Jesus Christ by His death and resurrection.”
Visit or call 616.588.7200 for more information on open recreation hours and other details.
