Convention Center

In the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, on the banks of the Grand River that flows through the city, sits DeVos Place convention center.

With more than 240,000 sq. ft. of convention, ballroom and meeting space, the convention center can comfortably accommodate large events. But it’s much more than just a space to fill – it’s a state-of-the-art business center. Working with locally headquartered Steelcase, the global leader in workplace environments, DeVos Place developers integrated the latest innovations in architecture, furniture and technology to help people and businesses make better connections.

DeVos Place also features a 2,404-seat performing arts center, with two independent loading docks and one loading ramp, that can be booked for meetings and conventions.

The convention center is connected by climate-controlled skywalk to three hotels and Van Andel Arena, a 12,000-seat multipurpose facility. More than 150 restaurants, breweries, museums, shops and entertainment venues are located within a 10-minute walk.
